Please note: In line with national NHS guidelines, your eligibility will be assessed on your current weight and BMI today, rather than what you weighed prior to starting private treatment.

Diagnosed health conditions and safety

Please select any diagnosed health conditions that apply to you and answer the safety questions below. Your full eligibility assessment will be calculated on the next step.

Diagnosed high blood pressure requiring prescription medication.

A confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes on your medical record.

Safety questions

Your assessment result

You may be eligible for an NHS prescription consultation

Based on your BMI () and having qualifying health conditions, you meet the current NHS priority criteria.

Important information: Important things you must know before starting

  • Healthy lifestyle support: NHS guidelines require you to join and actively participate in a free local NHS healthy weight and lifestyle programme alongside the medication. Prescriptions cannot continue without active participation.
  • Contraceptive pill advice: Tirzepatide slows down how quickly your stomach empties, which can stop contraceptive pills from working properly. If you use the contraceptive pill, you will need to use an extra barrier method (such as condoms) for 4 weeks after starting, and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.
  • Diet and exercise are essential: Medication is not a standalone solution; it works alongside changes to your diet and regular physical activity.

Assessment Result: You do not currently meet the NHS priority criteria for Tirzepatide

Current national NHS guidelines reserve Tirzepatide for people in the highest priority risk groups (a qualifying BMI and at least 4 specific chronic conditions). Because demand is extremely high and medication supplies are managed at a national level, GP surgeries cannot prescribe outside these national criteria.

Important safety advice: Tirzepatide is not currently safe for you

Weight loss medications like Tirzepatide have strict safety guidelines. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or pancreatitis, the potential medical risks outweigh the benefits.

What you can do: Please speak with your GP or practice healthcare team to discuss alternative weight management options that are safe for you.
